Abstract
Program (PkM) aimed to enhance parents’ understanding of the importance of recognizing children’s love languages in supporting their emotional development. A common problem faced by families is the lack of effective communication and parents’ limited understanding of children’s emotional needs, which often results in less harmonious relationships between parents and children. The program employed a socialization method through material presentations, interactive discussions, and question-and-answer sessions with parents at the Catholic Church of Kring Kristus Garam Dunia Punakul. The material focused on Gary Chapman’s concept of the five love languages of children: words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts, acts of service, and physical touch. The results indicated high enthusiasm among participants and an increased understanding of how children receive love and affection. Furthermore, parents recognized the importance of providing attention in line with their children’s emotional needs to foster more harmonious family relationships. This program had a positive impact by increasing parents’ awareness of implementing loving parenting practices that optimally support children’s emotional development.
