Abstract
Spiritual mentoring plays an important role in shaping students’ faith life, especially in the context of Christian higher education. Students face not only academic demands but also various social, moral, and spiritual challenges that may influence their spiritual growth. This study aims to describe the implementation of room mentoring and analyze its role in helping students recognize their calling as disciples of Christ at the STKIP Kristen Wamena dormitory. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, reflection on mentoring activities, and interaction with student participants involved in the room mentoring program. The findings reveal that room mentoring helps students grow spiritually through several main aspects, including Bible study, spiritual brotherhood support, Christian character formation, and understanding their calling as disciples of Christ. Room mentoring also creates a supportive environment for students’ spiritual growth through prayer, spiritual discussions, and communal life in the dormitory. The findings confirm that room mentoring is not merely a routine spiritual activity but also a strategic means of shaping the faith, character, and spirituality of Christian students in higher education. Therefore, room mentoring should continue to be developed as an important part of Christian education at STKIP Kristen Wamena.
