Abstract

This activity aims to shape and develop students' character of patience through a Biblical approach in advisory guidance. Advisee students often have a sound understanding of Christianity but face difficulties in implementing the values of patience in daily life, particularly in academic and social settings. Using a Discussion, Question & Answer guidance method, this activity involved six students from various semesters at STKIP Kristen Wamena and two advisors. The guidance was conducted over 16 weeks of advisory meetings, beginning with a self-evaluation and a focus on personal development, reinforcement through scripture, and the evaluation of personal progress by both students and faculty advisors. The results of the activity indicate that guidance through the Biblical approach helped students develop patience in facing academic, social, and personal challenges. Group reflection and Bible discussions also strengthened solidarity among students. However, the internalization of patience took longer for first-semester students. This activity makes a significant contribution to the development of character education based on spirituality.
