Abstract

The Community Service Activity (PkM) conducted by the English Education Study Program of STKIP Kristen Wamena aims to broaden parents' perspectives and strategies in educating their children. Through this seminar, parents become more aware and motivated to enhance effective strategies in educating their children. Consequently, their children will be more successful in acquiring knowledge, both formally and informally. This service was held at the Christ the Light of the World Parish Church Hall, Yiwika, Wamena, on Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Overall, there were 36 parents in attendance at this seminar, comprising 24 females and 12 males. Based on the discussions and findings from this PkM activity, parents hope that STKIP Kristen Wamena will collaborate with the parish to organize quality programs, such as providing English enrichment or lessons for their children who are still in school at least once a week. Thus, their children's English proficiency will develop as it should.
